[In Vivo]

CX-157 is a reversible inhibitor of monoamine oxidase-A (MAO-A) with an EC50 of 19.3 ng/mL. CX-157 is an investigational compound currently in development for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD). Mechanistic studies in animals have shown that CX-157 acts to inhibit MAO-A activity in a reversible and competitive manner, elevating brain levels of monoamine neurotransmitters[1].
