色原烷醇293B对映体是钾通道蛋白（KvLQT1）的一种有效抑制剂。在人心房肌细胞中，色原烷醇293B可抑制复极钾电流。色原烷醇293B可通过调节钾电压门控通道（KCNQ1）而改善胰腺中葡萄糖刺激的胰岛素分泌（GSIS）。
