[Description]:

PG 34 is a weak O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) inhibitor (IC50=68 μM), and a close structural analog of OSMI-1 (HY-119738)[1].

[In Vitro]

PG34 (0.5-50 µM; 24 h) shows no detectable inhibition of OGT in CHO cells, displays no effect on apoptotic signaling, and shows a moderate effect on cell viability only at the highest concentration[1]. Cell Viability Assay[1] Cell Line: CHO cells Concentration: 0.5-50 µM Incubation Time: 24 hours Result: Inhibited cell growth moderately at 50 µM. Western Blot Analysis[1] Cell Line: CHO cells Concentration: 10, 25, and 50 µM Incubation Time: 24 hours Result: Showed no reduction in global O-GlcNAcylation in cells.
