毒理学数据: 
                                    1、刺激性:兔子经皮:500mg 轻度刺激。  
  兔子经眼:50mg 轻度刺激。  
2、急性毒性:大鼠经口LD50:12565mg/kg;兔子经皮LD50:11890mg/kg  
3、属微毒类。可经皮吸收,对皮肤黏膜刺激小。与乙二醇相似对中枢神经系统有抑制作用。能引起肾脏病理改变及尿路结石。人一次口服致死量估计为1mL/kg。服用二甘醇后约24小时出现恶心、呕吐、腹痛、腹泻等肠胃道症状。致死者随之出现头痛、肾区疼痛、一时性多尿然后少尿、嗜睡、面部轻度浮肿等。无尿发生后2~7日内昏迷而死。故本品应禁作药用,避免长期与皮肤接触。
