其制备方法是将丙酮酸中加入少许浓硫酸和溶剂二氯甲烷置于反应瓶中，滴加溴约需3.5h，并搅拌，有白色沉淀产生，再继续搅拌1h，用环己烷和石油醚稀释，然后冷却反应混合物得到结晶，过滤，用石油醚洗涤并干燥得到产品。
