Abstract Tetrabutylammonium decatungstate (TBADT, 2× 10− 3 m) is an effective photocatalyst for the alkylation of electrophilic alkenes (0.1 m, α, β-unsaturated nitriles, esters, ketones) by alkanes, alcohols, and ethers.
