In Vitro |
Nomegestrol is a progestin, has high binding affinity at progesterone receptor, with a Kd of 5.44 nM for rat uterine progesterone receptor[1]. Nomegestrol acetate (NOMAC) is a higly selective progesterone receptor full agonist, but shows no or little binding affinity at other steroid receptors, such as the androgen and glucocorticoid receptors. Nomegestrol acetate has moderate antiandrogenic activity and strong antiestrogenic activity[2].
