[In Vivo]

[D-Pro4,D-Trp7,9] Substance P (4-11) inhibits the hypotensive effect of Substance P in anesthetized rats, the vasodilator effect in the rabbit perfused heart, relaxation induced by Substance P in dog carotid arteries contracted with noradrenaline, and stimulatory actions of Substance P in the guinea pig ileum and the guinea pig trachea[1]. [D-Pro4,D-Trp7,9] Substance P (4-11) (0.3 nM/K/min; i.p. for 7 days) significantly decreases plasma aldosterone (ALDO) concentration and causes atrophy of adrenal zona glomerulosa (ZG) and its parenchymal cells[2].
