Abstract

Primary alcohols, α, ω-diols and secondary alcohols are easily transformed into carboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acids or ketones, respectively, by heterogeneous oxidation with nickel oxide hydroxide electrochemically regenerated at a nickel hydroxyde electrode.
