Abstract

Highlights ► A rapid SPE/LCMS method assaying kynurenine metabolites has been developed. ► LCMS detection was performed in positive and negative electrospray ionization. ► The method had a flow rate of 0.2mL/min and a total run time of 12min. ► The assay method was within acceptance range of all the validation parameters. ► Noteworthy changes in plasma tryptophan metabolism in SIR rats were observed.
