Abstract

The utility of chiral R-unsubstituted β-hydroxy carboxylate compounds in synthesis has stimulated the development of new methodology for their construction. The asymmetric aldol reactions appear as a one-step route to the chiral R-unsubstituted β-hydroxy carboxylates.
