  •   莽草酸一般通途是用来作为化工原料,用来转化生成其他化学物质或化学制剂。中国的八角每年有很多出口到欧洲,尤其以德国居多。但是主要是从八角中提取挥发油制作食品添加剂。莽草酸衍生药物大部分处于实验阶段,但是这样的实验报告非常多。“达菲”应该算是实验中较早成功的一例,在上世纪90年代制成莽草酸衍生物作为抗病毒药物。莽草酸在学界比较受到关注的发展前途有二:
      一是抗菌抗肿瘤作用,1987年有报道中提到日本学者发现莽草酸的一种化合物对海拉细胞株(HeLacells)和埃希利腹水癌(Ehrlichascitescarcinoma)有明显的抑制作用,并能延长接种白血病细胞L1210的小鼠的存活时间,而且毒性相对较低,并指明抑制作用主要是因为此种莽草酸化合物与硫氢化物反应。另一种化合物对白血病细胞L1210无对抗作用,但对须发癣菌(TrichophytonmentagrophytesATCC9972)有一定的对抗作用。国内的孙快麟等人于1988年对已合成的一种莽草酸衍生物进行了初步的体外抗菌和抗肿瘤实验,证明此化合物具有与二霉素类似的体外抑制白血病细胞L1210的作用。
      二是对心血管系统的作用,北京中医药大学的孙建宁等对莽草酸及其衍生物三乙酰莽草酸和异亚丙基莽草酸对心血管系统的作用进行研究,发现三个化合物均具有抗血栓形成和抑制血小板聚集的作用,并对它们的作用机理进行了研究。用途一:是一种抗肿瘤药物,同时也是二恶霉素、乙二醛酶抑制剂等抗肿瘤药物的合成原料
