    该品是最广泛使用的增塑剂,除了乙酸纤维素、聚乙酸乙烯外,与绝大多数工业上使用的合成树脂和橡胶均有良好的相容性。本品具有良好的综合性能,混合性能好,增塑效率高,挥发性较低,低温柔软性较好,耐水抽出,电气性能高,耐热性和耐候性良好。该品作为一种主增塑剂,广泛应用于聚氯乙烯各种软质制品的加工,例如薄膜、薄板、人造革、电缆料和模塑品等。该品无毒,可用于与食物接触的包装材料,但由于易被脂肪抽出,故不宜用于脂肪性食品包装材料。还可用于硝基纤维素漆,使漆膜具有弹性的较高的抗张强度。在多种合成橡胶中,该品亦有良好的软化作用。另外,DOP还用作缩合剂、减磨剂、有机溶剂、气相色谱固定液。

    气相色谱固定液(最高使用温度150℃溶剂为甲醇主、二氯甲烷)选择性保留和分离芳香族化合物、不饱和化合物以及各种含氧化物(醇、醛、酮及酯等),增塑剂。

稳定性

1.常温常压稳定,避免与强氧化剂、酸类接触。溶于大多数有机溶剂,不溶于水,耐水、耐光、耐寒性能好。与聚氯乙烯、乙酸纤维素、聚苯乙烯等的相容性好,但与乙酸纤维素及聚乙酸乙烯酯的相容性较差。可燃.。化学性质非常稳定,不易水解。

2.本品毒性低,动物口服LD50>30000mg/kg。法、英、日、德等国允许本品用于接触食品(脂肪性食品除外)的塑料制品,美国允许本品用于食品包用玻璃纸、涂料、黏合剂、橡胶制品。20
世纪80年代曾发生过关于DOP能否致癌的争论,目前虽无明确证据可证明,但各国都在寻找DOP的代用品。

1. 生产主要采用间歇法。以苯酐和2-乙基己醇(质量比为1∶2)为原料,以硫酸为催化剂,用量为总物料的0.25%~0.3%,于150℃左右,真空度0.093MPa下进行酯化反应。酯化时间大约3h。为了防止醇的氧化,酯化时同时加入总物料量0.1%~0.3%的活性炭,起吸附氧气和脱色作用。粗酯经5%左右的纯碱溶液中和,再用80~85℃的热水洗涤。分离后的粗酯在130~140℃,真空度不低于0.093MPa的条件下进行蒸馏脱醇,直到粗酯闪点达到190℃以上。成品如需进一步精制,可将脱醇后的粗酯进行水蒸气蒸馏,再经压滤,即得成品。

2. 国外主要采用连续法生产。苯酐和2-乙基己醇(质量比1∶1.6)在硫酸(用量为总投料量的0.5%)催化下,在反应釜中于≤120℃条件下进行单酯化反应,生成透明均一的液体。然后单酯液连续进入酯化塔,在130~150℃、真空度大于0.093MPa的条件下连续进行酯化。粗酯用其1/5体积的50℃水进行洗涤,用2%~3%的纯碱溶液于60~70℃条件下连续中和。中和后的粗酯液以1∶1体积的70~80℃的水洗涤。再加入0.1%的活性炭,在真空度为0.097MPa,温度为150℃的条件下,进行连续脱醇。脱醇后的粗酯在100~120℃下压滤,即得成品。

精制方法:常含有游离的酸、醇和苯二甲酸-2-乙基己酯等杂质。精制时用稀的氢氧化钠溶液洗涤,无水碳酸钾或硫酸钠干燥后减压下蒸馏。

3.间歇法 常压下进行酯化反应,反应产物经中和、水洗、减压蒸馏,回收醇后脱色、压滤,即得成品。其工艺条件如下:原料配比为苯酐∶辛醇=1∶2(质量),催化剂量为总物料量的0.25%~0.3%(质量),酯化时加入的活性炭为总物料量的0.1%~0.3%(质量);酯化温度150℃,酯化时间约为3h。粗酯洗涤的热水温度为80~85℃;蒸馏回收辛醇的温度130~140℃,塔内残压不高于93.31kPa;粗酯闪点要达190℃以上。生产优级品,需将脱醇后的粗酯进行蒸馏,而后压滤。酯化反应式如
