棕榈酸视黄酯具有高分子量和稳定的配方。为了具有活性,棕榈酸视黄酯应通过裂解酯键在皮肤中酶促转化为视黄醇,然后必须通过氧化过程转化为维甲酸[1]。

[体内研究]

在大鼠中局部给予视黄醇棕榈酸酯导致蛋白质和胶原蛋白增加以及表皮增厚[1]。
