间接法合成2,2-二甲氧基丙烷。以乙二醇和丙酮为原料经2,2二甲基-1,3-二氧环戊烷(DMD)合成2,2-二甲氧基丙烷的工艺条件。选用二氯甲烷为带水剂、无水硫酸铁为催化剂，合成DMD后,再与甲醇交换,选用三氯化铝为催化剂合成DMP。两步反应的总收率达到60%。
