虎环素是一种广谱甘氨酸环素类抗生素。虎环素水合物具有抑菌作用,通过与细菌的30S核糖体亚单位结合来抑制蛋白质合成,从而在原核翻译过程中阻止氨酰tRNA进入核糖体的A位点。虎环素水合物对革兰氏阳性菌和革兰氏阴性菌的耐药菌株具有活性。
