氯化铑(III)用途
1.光谱标准。电子、仪表、冶金工业。
2.三氯化铑能够实现烯烃和具有环张力环化物的异构化反应,还能作为催化剂前体实现还原反应,此外高价铑试剂也能实现氧化反应。
三氯化铑能够催化实现烯烃的异构化反应,将烯烃转变为热稳定性更好、更为稳定的异构体。如将环外双键转换为环内双键,获得共轭性更好的芳香环化合物 (式1)。与环己烯酮相连的不饱和双键也能在三氯化铑的催化下发生烯基迁移,得到苯酚化合物 (式2)。
对于杂原子上带有烯丙基保护基团的底物,在三氯化铑作用下能够发生异构-水解反应离去烯丙基团,从而实现底物杂原子上的去保护反应 (式3)。

三氯化铑与硼氢化钠作用,能够特异性实现芳香环的还原氢化反应 (式4,式5)。该方法能够完全实现烯烃的还原,对于酮只会发生部分还原,对于羧酸、酯和酰胺基团则不会收到任何影响。
三氯化铑在酸性介质中能够催化实现炔烃的水合反应,将炔烃转变为相应的醛 (式6)。在其中引入配位加合物如氯化锂能够加速该反应的进行。
三氯化铑也能催化实现α,β-不饱和酯的氢硅化反应,得到相应的三甲基硅缩醛化合物 (式7)。

将三水氯化铑RhCl3·3H2O置于氯化氢气流中于180℃加热,即可制得水溶性的三氯化铑。另外金属铑粉在氯气流中于400℃下加热,或者使三水三氯化铑在氯化氢气流中于360℃下加热,都可以制得不溶于水的三氯化铑。
