Abstract: Rate constants for triplet-state reaction of various ring-substituted benzophenones (BPs), acetophenones (APs), and apptrifluoroacetophenones (TFAs) with toluene and p- xylene have been determined by a combination of flash kinetics, steady-state quenching, and quantum yield measurements.
