Benzoquinoquinoxaline (BQQ) is a heterocyclic compound with an aminoalkyl side chain. Conjugation of Benzoquinoquinoxaline to 1,10-phenanthroline specifically binds and cleaves double strand DNA at the site of formation of a triplex structure[1].
