(S)-FQI1 is a small-molecule inhibitor of transcription factor LSF with IC50 of 0.93 uM, approximately 2-fold more active than the racemate FQI-1; inhibits LSF DNA-binding activity both in vitro, also exhibits antiproliferative activity in multiple cell lines, NIH 3T3, HeLa S3, and A549 cells with GI50 of 0.82, 0.30, and 1.2 uM, respectively; rapidly induces cell death in QGY-7703 liver cancer cell lines.
