[D-Ala2]-Met-Enkephalinamide, an opioid peptide, is a potent opioid agonist. [D-Ala2]-Met-Enkephalinamide decreases bile flow by a central mechanism. [D-Ala2]-Met-Enkephalinamide has analgesic properties[1][2].

[In Vivo]

[D-Ala2]-Met-Enkephalinamide decreases bile flow by a central mechanism in Sprague-Dawley rats[1]. Animal Model: Male Sprague-Dawley rats (250-320 g)[1] Dosage: 10, 50, 100, 150, and 200 mg/kg Administration: Intracerebroventrical injection Result: Decreased in bile flow that ranged from 12% to 41%. Decreased bicarbonate secretion into bile.
