Biological Activity

[Description]:

HC-Toxin, a cyclic tetrapeptide, is a potent HDAC inhibitor with an IC50 of 30 nM[1]. HC-Toxin induces tumor cell apoptosis and has anticancer effects[2].

[In Vitro]

HC-Toxin shows potent antiproliferative efficacy and cell cycle arrest at G2/M in T47D human breast cancer cells in a dose-dependent manner. HC-Toxin evokes apoptosis of T47D cells and HC-toxin induced apoptosis might not be mediated through direct increase in caspase-3/7 activity[2].
