Biological Activity

[Description]:

D-NMAPPD ((1R,2R)-B13) is an acid ceramidase inhibitor. D-NMAPPD regulates NMDA receptor properties by enhancing endogenous production of ceramides. D-NMAPPD has anticancer effecs[1][2].

[In Vitro]

In rat hippocampal slices, D-NMAPPD exhibit increased N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor-mediated field excitatory postsynaptic potentials (fEPSPs) in CA1 synapses[1].
