METTL3，即甲基转移酶样 3，是 N6-甲基腺苷 (m6A) 唯一的催化亚基。METTL3 参与真核 mRNA 中内部腺苷残基的转录后甲基化，形成 m6A。m6A 是最丰富的 mRNA 修饰，因此 METTL3 在多种癌症类型中发挥关键作用，或依赖于或不依赖于其 m6A RNA 甲基转移酶活性[2]。
