Sphingosine (d14:1) (Tetradecasphing-4-enine), a sphingolipid, is a potent Protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor. Sphingosine (d14:1) prevents its interaction with sn-1,2-diacylglycerol (DAG)/Phorbol esters[1].
