Abstract

Solutions of reactive intermediates of structure I (carbodiimides, isocyanates, and isothiocyanates) which may be used for subsequent reaction without further treatment may be prepared conveniently by treating compounds of structure I1 with solutions of silver nitrate or mercuric chloride.
