Abstract

3-, 5-, and 6-isocyanatoalkanecarboxylic acid chlorides and m-and p-isocyanatobenzoyl chlorides were prepared by treatment of the corresponding amino acids or their hydrochlorides with phosgene and hydrogen chloride in dioxane.
