Abstract
Abstract β-Keto sulfones were obtained in good to excellent yields (73–94%) directly from unactivated olefins by employing inexpensive sodium arenesulfinate salts as sulfonylating agents and K 2 S 2 O 8 as a radical initiator in open flasks and aqueous media at room temperature under transition-metal-free conditions.
