• Ginsenoside Rg3 induces apoptosis with strong cytotoxicity. • Ginsenoside Rg3 modulates EGFR internalization. • Ginsenoside Rg3 induces EGFR degradation after internalization. • Ginsenoside Rg3 inhibits tumor growth in LLC-bearing C57BL/6 mice.
