Abstract

Phenyl tetrafluoroethyl sulfide has been prepared by base-catalyzed addition of thiophenol to tetrafluoroethylene. a However, this reaction has not been extended to substituted thiophenols, and the properties of the tetrafluoroethylthio group have not been studied.
