Abstract

The detailed study of the asymmetric hydroboration of various vinyl-silanes with monoisopinocampheylborane (IPCBH2) is presented. In all cases, β-substitution on the vinylsilane gives monomeric dialkylborane adducts with the boryl group α to the silicon.
