Abstract

The direct vapor-phase fluorination of tris-(trifluoromethy1)-and tris-(pentafluoroethyl-s- triazines has been studied under a variety of operating conditions. When a packed T-reactor was employed, a novel substitution reaction occurred in which the perfluoroalkyl groups were progressively replaced by fluorine yielding some interesting unsymmetrical-s-triazines.
