Abstract

The substituted amides HCOX (CH3) 2 and HCONHCH? were cleaved when fluorinated under vigorous conditions. The former vielded pure (CF3) 2NF (38'%),(CF3) 3N and (CF3) zN-N (CF3) 2; while the latter gave CF2= SF, CF3NF2 and (CF,),-XF. Unsubstituted acetamide under mild conditions was cleaved even before the replacement of hydrogen atoms, giving CHICOF (52%) and elementary nitrogen. The peduoronitriles CFlCN and ...
