Abstract
The asymmetric hydrolytic kinetic resolution (HKR) of racemic terminal epoxides by new easily synthesized dimeric chiral (salen) Co bearing Al, provides a practical and straightforward method for the synthesis of enantiomerically enriched terminal epoxides (> 99% ee) and diols.
