Abstract

A new one-pot cross-coupling reaction between Grignard reagents and alkoxymethyldiphenylphosphonium iodides, which were in situ-formed from n BuLi-treated alcohols, chlorodiphenylphosphine and iodomethane, proceeded smoothly to afford the corresponding coupling products in good to high yields.
