Abstract

N-Arylamides are widely useful compounds as pharmaceuticals, pesticides, dyes, and intermediates. A widely practical method of amide synthesis is the acylation of primary or secondary amines with an acylating agent, such as acyl chloride, acyl bromide, ester, acyl anhydride, or carboxylic acid, etc. [1] On the other hand, several attempts have been made in order to synthesize amides from nitro compounds, so-called reductive N-acylations.
