Abstract

Aqueous phase reaction of trialkyloxonium tetrafluoroborates, R3O+ BF4−(R Me, Et) has been tested in the alkylation of simple inorganic anionic substrates such as halogen ions, cyanide, thiocyanate, sulphide and several oxoanions or their corresponding oxoacids.
