Abstract

Oxidations of organoboranes contained in THF are conveniently carried out at room temperature with sodium perborate in water. Only 1 equiv of the oxidizing agent is needed for every boron-carbon bond. Since the reagent is mildly basic (pH-9.51, the addition of external base is not required in most cases.
