Abstract

The genus Cytospora sp. is a rich source of biologically active secondary metabolites such as antibiotic grahamimycins, 1 antibacterial cytoskyrins 2 and cytotoxic cytosporinols. 3 Of these, cytospolides A–E (Fig. 1) are of immense interest because of their potent anticancer activity.
