Abstract

Triphenylethylene (I) and its derivatives have acquired new interest since the discovery of Robson and Schonbergl that the hydrocarbon (I) itself, its dirnethoxy derivative (11) 2 and their a-halogen derivatives are endowed with estrogenic activity of prolonged duration.
