Abstract

The presence of 1-(difluoromethy1)-1-cyclohexene (111) among the products isolated from the cyclohexanone reaction (eq. 1) probably merely reflects isomerization of the primary reaction product, di-fluoromethylenecyclohexane (I), although a mechanism for addition of the ylid to the enol of cyclohexanone can be written.
