Abstract

The reaction of epichlorohydrin with Grignard reagents has been reported by many workers. Some1 obtained only 1, 3-dihalo-2-propanols while others? obtained the same substance as the major product and l-chloro-3-alkyl (or aryl)-2-propanols.
