Abstract: Diarylbis (acy1oxy) dialkoxypersulfurane 7, the fist example of a hexacoordinate organosulfur (V1) derivative lacking fluorine ligands, a sulfone bisketal, was synthesized by treatment of sulfide diol diacid 6 with pyridine and tert-butyl hypochlorite at 0 “C.
