Abstract

The expected enhancement of the catalytic activity with 1 was demonstrated upon reacting EDA and cyclohexane (eq 2): ethyl 2-cyclohexyl acetate was obtained in 90% yield (based in EDA, [Cu]:[EDA]:[C 6 H 12 ], 1:20:1000). But, as mentioned above, acyclic substrates present more interest from the functionalization point of view.
