Abstract

Abstract Sn-Beta is used as a heterogeneous catalyst for the Baeyer–Villiger reaction with hydrogen peroxide. Cyclic ketones are transformed into the corresponding lactones, while unsaturated ketones are oxidized to the corresponding unsaturated lactones with very high chemoselectivity.
