Abstract

The Rh (II)-catalyzed imination of sulfoxides and sulfides using [Rh2 (OAc) 4] as a catalyst and trifluoroacetamide or sulfonylamides in combination with iodobenzene diacetate and magnesium oxide affords sulfoximines and sulfilimines, respectively, in a stereospecific manner.
