【方法一】
其制备方法是用N,N-二甲苯胺与亚硝酸钠和盐酸进行亚硝化,再在铁粉和盐酸存在下进行还原,得到的N,N-二甲基对苯二胺盐酸盐用碱中和得产品。
也可以从香豆素生产中的废水用氨水中和至pH=7~8,加热至约40℃,沉淀8~12h,清除沉淀渣,用苯萃取中和液,然后减压脱苯即得N,N-二甲基对苯二胺。
【方法二】
以二甲苯胺为原料,经亚硝化,还原而得:工艺过程:(1)亚硝化 将稀盐酸及二甲基苯胺搅匀冷却至5℃以下,加亚硝酸钠溶液进行亚硝化,加毕,放置,过滤结晶,用1:1盐酸洗,再用盐酸与酒精的混合液再洗涤一次,抽干,得亚硝化物。(2)还原 将上述粗品有水搅拌成糊状,再加工业浓盐酸,外面用冰水冷却,慢慢加入锌粉,加入温度不宜超过45℃。(3)提取 加氢氧化钠溶液至碱性后,再用苯提取,苯溶液用无水碳酸钾干燥,用水浴回收苯,再减压蒸馏收集成品。其它制法 由甲基橙还原或由对硝基二甲基苯胺用硫化钠或硫化钾还原而制得。工业上用香兰素萃取后废液为原料,经中和、萃取、蒸馏而得。该品对皮肤有刺激性,毒性比对苯二胺大8倍。
