    有机合成原料,用于制联苯甲酰等;医药工业用于生产抗癫痫药苯妥英纳、抗胆碱药胃复康和安胃灵。也可用于染料生产。苯偶姻醚类可用作感光性树脂的光增感剂、照相凹版油墨、光固化型涂料。最近又用于速干性涂料。主要是:苯偶姻异丙醚为白色或浅黄褐色粉末,熔点77-81℃。苯偶姻乙醚为白色粉末,熔点56℃以上。苯偶姻异丁醚(Benzoin isobutyl ether)国际市场上90%纯度的商品沸点133℃(66.7Pa),相对密度0.985(20/4℃),折光率1.5485。作为光增感剂,在性能方面以乙醚最佳,其次为异丙醚和异丁醚,产品的稳定性以异丁醚为最佳。
