【用途一】
用作涂料溶剂、渗透剂、匀染剂及有机合成中间体,也用作喷气燃料的添加剂

【用途三】
2-甲氧基乙醇又称乙二醇单醚,是除草剂醚磺隆的中间体,也是各种油脂类硝基纤维素和合成树脂的溶剂。
【用途四】
该品用作各种油脂类、木质素、硝基纤维素、乙酸纤维素、醇溶性染料和合成树脂的溶剂;测定铁、硫酸盐和二硫化碳的试剂,涂层的稀释剂,并用于玻璃纸的包装封口、快干清漆和瓷漆中。也可用作染料工业的渗透剂和匀染剂,或作增塑剂、光亮剂。作为有机化合物生产的中间体,乙二醇单甲醚主要用于醋酸酯及乙二醇二甲醚的合成。也是生产二(2-甲氧乙基)苯二甲酸酯增塑剂的原料。乙二醇单甲醚与甘油和混合物(醚:甘油=98:2)是军用喷气燃料添加剂,可防结冰和抗细菌腐蚀。当乙二醇单甲醚作为喷气燃料防浆剂时,一般加入量为0.15%±0.05%,它具有很好的亲水性,在燃料中以其本身的羟基与油中微量水的分子间形成氢键缔合,加之本身的冰点很低,因而降低了油中水的结冰点,使其水能成冰霜析出,乙二醇单甲醚也是防微生物的添加剂。

乙二醇甲醚制备

1.由环氧乙烷与甲醇反应而得。将甲醇加入三氟化硼乙醚络合物中,在搅拌下于25-30℃通入环氧乙烷,通完后温度自动升至38-45℃,将所得反应液用氢氰化钾-甲醇溶液中和至pH=8-9。回收甲醇,蒸馏,收集130℃以前的馏分即得粗品。再进行分馏,收集123-125℃馏分即为成品。

工业生产中,将环氧乙烷与无水甲醇在高温高压下反应,不需催化剂,可得高收率的产品。

2.其制备方法是将甲醇加入三氟化硼乙醚配合物中,在搅拌下于25~300℃通入环氧乙烷,通完后温度自动升到38~45℃,所得反应液用氢氧化钾甲醇溶液中和到pH=8~9,回收甲醇,蒸馏,再经分馏得产品。

精制方法:易含杂质有水、二甘醇一甲醚(甲基卡必醇)和微量的酸、醛等。实验室的精制方法是用无水碳酸钠干燥后分馏。若有过氧化物存在,可加氯化亚锡回流或将其通过活性氧化铝柱除去。脂肪族酮可加2,4-二硝基苯肼除去。也可用碳酸钾、硫酸钙、硫酸镁或硅胶作干燥剂。

3.将含量95%的三级纯乙二醇单甲醚与无水碳酸钠一起振荡,除去无机酸或有机酸杂质,再用无水硫酸钙干燥后蒸馏。
