在装有搅拌器、滴液漏斗和温度计的三颈瓶中加入80g(0.470mol)丙二酸乙酯钾盐和50ml水。混合物冷却至5℃，于30min内加入40ml浓盐酸，其间温度应保持在10℃以下。抽滤，析出的氯化钾用75ml乙醚洗涤，水层用乙醚洗涤（3*50ml）。合并乙醚液，无水硫酸镁干燥，蒸出大部分溶剂后行减压蒸馏，余物在50℃/0.13kpa干燥1h,得到丙二酸单乙酯58~62g(93%~100%).
